Earlier in the day, BJP leader Abdul Hamid Nazar, 38, of Badgam in Kashmir, was seriously injured in an attack by unidentified gunmen. Unidentified gunmen shot at him near his house in Mohammad Hindpora. He was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. This is the third attack aimed at BJP leaders in the last one week. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. Earlier, another BJP leader Arif Ahmed was seriously injured in a terrorist attack. The BJP leader was attacked in Kulgam in south Kashmir. Last month, militants shot dead former BJP district president Wasim Bari, his father and a brother at close range.
