DEGREE CHANGE হয় শুধুমাত্র Adjective এর 

১। সাধারনত Positive থেকে Comparative করার সময় Adjective এর শেষে er ও Superlative করার সময় est যোগ হয়।

Bold-------Bolder-----Boldest

২। দুটি consonant এর মাঝে একটি vowel থাকলে, শেশের letter টি দুবার লিখে er ও est যোগ হয়।

 Fat -----Fatter------Fattest  (F ও T এর মাঝে a আছে তাই শেষের t দুবার লিখতে হছে)

Hot ------Hotter-----Hottest

৩। শেষে Y এবং এর আগে consonant থাকলে y কে i করে er ও  est যোগ হয়।

৪। শেষে Y এবং এর আগে Vowel থাকলে শুধু  er ও  est যোগ হয়।

৫।একের বেশি Syllable বা শব্দাংশ থাকলে সামনে More ও Most বসে।

A tiger was caught in a storm.

একটি বাঘ ঝড়ের কবলে পড়েছিল।

He had wandered near the village, looking for something to eat.

On the outskirts of that village lived an ill-tempered old woman.
