A Tree Plantation Drive

A Tree Plantation Drive

Our school, Saltora Girls’ High School, organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 5th June, on the occasion of World Environment Day. It was decided that the tree plantation program would be carried out within the school compound. The Panchayat and the school gardener helped us by supplying a large number of saplings. All the teachers, students of all classes were present. Samanta Babu, a well-known social worker, was the chief guest. Our headmistress first delivered a speech. Then the students and teachers were divided into six groups. Each of the groups planted five saplings. At the very end of the program, we took an oath to protect and take care of the saplings. In the evening, a cultural program was arranged. It was a moment of great joy for me.
