NTA says JEE, NEET as per schedule
The testing agency stated that it will follow the safety protocol and sanitise the exam centre before and after the conduct of the examination.
Releasing an official notification, National Testing Agency on Friday said that the entrance tests – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), 2020 and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Main, 2020 will be held as per schedule.
The notice further stated that the testing agency will follow the safety protocol and sanitise the exam centre before and after the conduct of the examination. A comprehensive “advisory regarding COVID-19 for all functionaries” has been prepared for the management of the exam centres. Candidates appearing for the examination will be provided with fresh masks and hand gloves as they reach the venues.
Additionally, the agency stated in the notice that a total of 99.07 percent of JEE aspirants have been offered their first choice of preferred test centre venues. Whilst, 99.87 percent of NEET candidates have been accommodated against their first choice of preferred exam centre venues.
Earlier, the admit cards along with ‘important instruction for candidates’ as well as ‘advisory for candidates regarding COVID-19’ for the JEE (Main) 2020 have been issued to more than 8.5 lakh aspiring candidates. The agency will issue the same for NEET 2020 aspirants in due course.
As per the dates released earlier, the JEE (Main) 2020 will be held from September 1 to 6. Whereas, NEET 2020 is scheduled to be held on September 13.
