Imperative Sentence Passive Voice: Rules, Examples & Exercise
Rule : Let + Object + be + Past Participle (V3)
- Shut the windows. Ans: Let the windows be shut.
- Write the report.
- Read the book.
- Take this medicine.
- Keep the door closed.
- Allow her to enter.
- Consider the possibilities.
- Paint the entire room.
- Allow the guests.
- Please clean the kitchen.
- Let me do it.
- Let us follow rules.
- Let us discuss the matter.
- Respect the seniors.
- Pass the mobile phone.
- Do not close the door.
- Ans: Let the door not be closed.
- Don’t make a noise.
- Do not pluck flowers.
- Do not waste time.
- Don’t open the door.
If the verb is intransitive, the below rules are applicable.
যদি ভাবটি intransitive হয় এবং ওই বাক্যে আদেশ উপদেশ অনুরোধ করা বোঝাই ও ওই বাক্যে যদি কোন অবজেক্ট না থাকে-- তাহলে শুধুমাত্র
You are told to …………..(Positive Sentence এর ক্ষেত্রে)
Example:
Active: Come in.
Passive: You are told to come in.
Active: Go to bed.
Passive: You are ordered to go to bed.
For Negative Sentences
You are told not to …………..
Example:
Active: Don’t talk.
Passive: You are told not to talk.
