 NARRATION CHANGE OF OPTATIVE SENTENCE



Optative Sentence এ যেহেতু ইচ্ছা বা প্রার্থনা বোঝায়  তাই Reporting verb টি wish বা pray হয়।

May এর জায়গায় might বসে।


(i) The hermit said, "May God bless you."

(ii) She said to me, "May you be happy."

(iii) He said. "May his soul rest in peace."

(iv) The teacher said "May you all succeed."

Had দিয়ে শুরু কোনো বাক্যে কামনা বা বাসনা  বোঝালে  Reporting verb এর জায়গায় express a strong desire বসে  এবং তারপর to বসে

(v) You said, "Had I won the lottery." 

Ans: You expressed a strong desire to have won the lottery.

(vi) The soldier said,"Had I the wings of a dove."

(vii) The old man said to me, “May God help you.”

(viii) We said, "May. God bless my friend."

(ix) The people said, "Long live our P.M.

(x) My grandfather said to me, “May you be happy.”

(xi) He said, "God save the king."

(xii) We said, "May. God bless my friend."

(xiii) The people said, "Long live our P.M.

 (xiv) He said to me, "May you be happy."

(xv) He said to you, "May God bless you.

(xvi) "May his soul rest in peace!"

(xvii) I said, "Long live the King."

(xviii) You said, "Had I won a lottery !"

 (xix)He said to us, "May he be successful in life."

(xx)The Guru prayed that God might bless me.
