Education: finished education in India and went to England to study law.  

Works: practised law in South Africa -returned India 1919. Joined Congress and freedom movement, Satyagraha and Non-violence to fight for freedom. Imprisoned several times. People called him Father of the Nation. 

Death: 30 January, 1948.
